Looking back, we can say that 2017 was a year full of pleasant events, successful partnerships and implementations. So we thought we would share with you our most important achievements of the past year, along with some thoughts for 2018.
As we were saying, we have had many implementations of our systems in 2017 for grand and important hotel projects, in Romania and abroad. We will enumerate here only the most grandiose ones, for which we have put in a lot of work, but the results are visible and notable.
Last year, we also had many implementations in the southern area of the country, where we met real professionals who want to take things to another level. We are talking about 4 and 5 star hotels mostly.
Amongst our major clients in 2017 we would like to mention Concorde Old Bucharest Hotel **** and Ganzo Boutique Hotel ****, both located in the capital Bucharest. With a modern design, but within a historical building, Hotel Concorde is a unique hotel with a special charm. Here’s how the Calirom room access system works at Concorde Old Bucharest Hotel:
Ganzo, a boutique hotel located in the immediate vicinity of the old city of Bucharest, has a surprising design that combines modern lines with the opulence of the past. We also have to mention Hotel Monopoly *** from Otopeni and Hotel Ski & Sky **** from Predeal, two major projects we have been involved with and we have managed to finish last year.
We are also glad to mention here The Double Tree by Hilton **** Ploiești, Grand Hotel Sofianu **** from Râmnicu Vâlcea, Hotel Olănești **** from Băile Olănești and Hotel Craioviţa **** from Craiova. Set in an absolutely superb historical building, Grand Hotel Sofianu is located in the immediate vicinity of The Zăvoi Park and Anton Pann’s Memorial House.
Last year, we also spent a lot of time at the seaside, not for relaxation purposes but for a number of successful implementations. We are talking about two beautiful locations in Constanța, Peninsula Boutique Hotel **** and Mava Hotel Apartments ****. With an eclectic yet modern design, Peninsula Boutique Hotel is located in a old city town building downtown Constanța. Mava Apartments, on the other hand, offers modern ultra-minimalist apartments, specially designed for young people and families. Calirom systems also made their presence felt in the Mamaia resort in 2017. Here we have equipped two grand hotels, namely Hotel Club Scandinavia ***** and Ramada Mamaia Hotel ****. In Mangalia we continued a successful collaboration with our now good friends at Mera Resort, who inaugurated a new 4-star hotel, Mera Brise ****, just 50 meters from the beach.
Returning to our home lands, we have to mention that we have had many major projects over the past year. Hence we have established very good relationships with our customers, whom we thank for their trust in us. We have implemented the smart Calirom systems at the new Hotel Briliant **** in Cluj-Napoca, but also at the TCI Social Club **** from Cluj-Napoca, a hotel with impressive spa facilities. Hotel Briliant, on the other hand, is a luxury hotel that impresses both in design as well as endowments. Another outstanding project, we have mentioned about in another blog, is Platinia Luxury Suits. Located in the heart of Cluj-Napoca, Platinia is a luxury concept with suites fitted for the highest standards, with a minimalist ultra-modern design. One of our major customers in 2017 is certainly Theodora Golf Club **** from Teleac, Jud. Alba. The grand opening of the largest golf, leisure, restaurant and accommodation complex in the country was attended by President Klaus Iohannis himself, as mentioned in a previous blog post. Theodora Golf Club **** is the largest and most modern golf club in Romania, but also the longest in Europe. So it was an honor for us to be a part of such an impressive project.
As we were saying, one of our major goals is to expand our coverage in neighboring countries. In this respect, 2017 brought along with it our first notable achievements abroad. We refer to Park Hotel Asarel **** from Panagyurishte, Bulgaria, and of course, our latest and most prestigious project abroad: Hotel Marinela ***** located in Sofia, Bulgaria. On Park Hotel Asarel **** we offered you more details in a previous blog, so we’ll leave you here with some pictures, where you can also see our systems.

We are proud to have implemented the Calirom system to one of the most important hotels in Sofia, Bulgaria: Hotel Marinela. This 5-star hotel was designed by the famous Japanese architect Kisho Kurokawa and features no less than 442 rooms. In 2016, Hotel Marinela received the title Luxury Business Hotel and in 2017 it won three national awards at Luxury Hotel Awards, namely Luxury Business Hotel, Luxury Hotel and Conference Center and Luxury Brand 2017.
The magnitude of this project is understandable as well as what it meant for us. Given that it houses the largest conference hall in Sofia, in March 2018 Hotel Marinela will host the annual European TCI Conference, a major event on cluster programs and competitiveness dedicated to governmental agencies and departments, academic institutions as well as private sector companies. News about the major renovation works of Hotel Marinela have been featured at the national Bulgarian TV, as you can see in the video below. On this occasion, we would like to thank all of our 2017 clients and partners once again for trusting us and our solutions. We sincerely say that we are very pleased with our last year achievements and accomplishements.
We have stepped in 2018 with a lot of enthusiasm and confidence that we can take our dream further.
